About Dave & Buster's
Great food and big fun served up by the friendliest people in town: that's always been Dave & Buster’s guiding principle. Dave & Buster's was founded in 1982 and now operates 59 high-volume restaurant/entertainment complexes throughout the United States, that offer a food and fun-filled experience to adults and families.
Dave & Buster’s at the Irvine Spectrum, under the leadership of General Manager, James Glenn, is big on being part of the community and creating a culture of giving back and making a difference. James arrived only 8 months ago from a Dave & Buster's in Detroit with the mentality that he would create an atmosphere and a culture in Irvine where the community knew they cared.
He made it known that Dave & Buster’s at the Irvine Spectrum didn't want to be like everyone else, their values were built around taking care of their community. Through his key focus, the staff found that people appreciated a business that is admirable for what it does. Today, they continue to grow with that mantra in mind.
The Dave & Buster's Charity Golf Classic is a part of that idea of giving back to the community. Partnering with an organization like TACA: Talk About Curing Autism, gives families affected by autism hope. Through TACA they are given the education and support from families who know what it’s like to live with the challenges of autism. Dave & Buster's appreciates that, and is there to help.
TACA Mission Statement
Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) is a national organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and supporting families affected by autism. For families who have just received the autism diagnosis, TACA aims to speed up the cycle time from the autism diagnosis to effective treatments. TACA helps to strengthen the autism community by connecting families to the professionals who can help them, allowing them access to information that can help improve the quality of life for people with autism.
TACA believes in early diagnosis, intensive therapies and medical intervention for children affected by autism. With early intervention, medical treatment unique to each person’s needs and necessary support services for families many children can improve greatly and some can recover from their autistic symptoms. We believe the future is not defined for many children affected by autism. Hope and recovery is possible.
All donations made to TACA are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law. Donations should be made payable to:
